Just in time for its huge $20 million Powerfest online poker festival, Party Poker has signed Dzmitry Urbanovich to be an ambassador for the site.

Urbanovich is Poland's all-time live tournament money winner with $5.1 million in cashes. The nearest competitor from Dzmitry's homeland is Dominik Panka with about half as much in winnings, making it likely that Urbanovich will hold that unofficial title as Poland's #1 poker player for quite some time considering the number of high roller events that he enters.

Big Events this Weekend

Fresh off a 5th place finish in a €5,500 WSOPC High Roller in Rozvadov for $28,864 in prize money and a title in a $500 H.O.R.S.E. event at the Party Poker Million in Sochi for $5,355 prior to that, Urbanovich will wear his new diamond patch at the Party Poker Million North America at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal this upcoming weekend where CAD $5,000,000 is guaranteed, with $1 million going to the winner.

Also kicking off this weekend and running from May 7-21 is Party Poker's Powerfest that features over 300 tournaments and more than $20 million GTD. You will find Urbanovich at the online tables as he joins the stable of Party Poker pros that includes Sam Trickett, Tony Dunst, Johnny Lodden and Mike Sexton.

“I can’t wait to join the Party Poker team," Urbanovich stated in a press release. "There are so many great Party Poker LIVE events that I’ll struggle to fit them all in."

Crushing It

A native of Belarus, Dzmitry has had a number of shining moments at the poker tables, but none brighter money-wise than the €100,000 Super High Roller in Monte Carlo in 2015 where a second place finish resulted in a $1.5 million payday. His Hendon Mob resume is dotted with a dozen 1st place finishes as well, including the EPT €5,300 Main Event in Dublin the following year for $632,279.

Urbanovich began his poker career like others before him, starting at low stakes and winning, moving up the ranks and eventually establishing himself as a high roller. He has now fully capitalized on that success by landing an ambassadorship with Party Poker.

“It is a pleasure to have Dzmitry join the Party Poker team as a sponsored pro," said Party Poker Managing Director Tom Waters. "I have watched his progress over the years and he is a great guy with some extremely impressive cashes... a perfect fit for Party Poker."

Check out the short video clip below to see Urbanovich in action at the final table of the 2015 EPT11 Grand Final Super High Roller. Will he fall for the bluff of Sam Altergott? Not bloody likely!
