If you are a member of poker media in any capacity, you follow Jake Cody’s Twitter primarily for professional reasons – there is almost always something going on worth keeping an eye on. If you are a poker fan, however, there are numerous other reasons to have Cody’s profile on your ‘to follow’ list.

First and foremost, Jake is not shy about tweeting hands from the tables and if you want to keep tabs on his progress in any particular tournament, his Twitter feed will keep you in the loop and give you some valuable insight into this brilliant poker mind. Secondly, Cody respects his followers and in order to keep them engaged often runs a game in which he gives up 1% of his winnings from a tournament he is involved in at the moment. EPT11 London Main Event was no different in that regard.

Jake Cody offered 1% of his tournament winnings to one person who would successfully guess his pizza topping – a bit abstract, but fun way to potentially get your hands on some extra cash for simply sending in a tweet.

Quite a few have taken a shot, but the guy hiding under the Twitter handle ‘JimmytheRad’ was the luckiest one.

At this time, 21-year old physics student at Warwick University couldn’t even imagine that few days later he will be sweating Cody at the final table, guaranteed to get a minimum of £519 and, potentially, could receive nearly £5,000 if Jake goes on and win the whole thing.

His real name is James Raddon, as PokerStars Blog diligently found out, and although he only plays low stakes himself, Raddon is an enthusiastic poker watcher. He’s been following Cody’s progress through this tournament closely ever since he has found out he guessed correctly and will have a really big sweat today as Jake goes for his second EPT title.

Raddon was, unfortunately, not able to come and rail Jake Cody live, but he will have a live stream to keep him occupied. As for Cody, he said that if they do get a chance to meet at some point, James could by him a pizza if he wins him five grand. Raddon, of course, had no objections to this proposal.

Good luck to both!
