Following her amazing run at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Cyprus last September that included cashes for just shy of $2 million, Ebony Kenney is on a mission to create more opportunities for women to succeed on the felt.

Kenney's trip to Cyprus was a freeroll, compliments of Americas Cardroom honcho Phil Nagy. The ACR boss invited Ebony to play specifically in the invite-only $200K Coin Rivet Invitational, but the ACR Team Pro was also staked to play in other events on the schedule as well.

Making good on her opportunity is perhaps the understatement of the year as Kenney finished 5th in the $200K for $1.7 million and also landed in 5th place in a $25K buy-in event for $240,500. Her previous biggest cash in a live tournament was for $45,000.

Flush with gratitude over Nagy's generosity, Ebony is paying it forward with a new coaching series for women entitled "Embodied Confidence." All members of the fairer sex are invited to the free poker and life coaching sessions that are held over Zoom.

Embodied Confidence is held bi-weekly and is set to continue through the beginning of the 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event. Kenney has big goals for this summer's festival, not only for herself, but for the other women in poker as well.

“Of course I want to make the WSOP Main Event final table, but I honestly wish any woman would make it," Ebony recently told PokerStake. "I don’t have this scarcity mindset of, 'if not me then no one.' I’m crossing my fingers every single year for one or more of us to make it. But f**k it, why not this year? Come on ladies, let’s do this!”
From the looks of social media, Embodied Confidence has been well-received thus far.

It's not too late for women to join the free coaching sessions. The series is ongoing with replays of past online meetups available on Facebook. Here is the link to join.

Ladies who sign up receive a free two-week trial at Chip Leader Coaching, a top training site run by Chance Kornuth, who is Kenney's private poker coach. Also in the works are additional bonuses tied in with ACR that will be announced throughout the duration of the WSOP.

Of her association with ACR, Ebony realizes that the spotlight is on her, and she is obviously up to the task.

"It’s an incredible honor to be an ambassador, and as the only black woman in all of poker to be a sponsored Team Pro, I know representation matters," Kenney added. “To be here now feels like an absolute dream I only imagined. I want people, especially women, to know they’re not alone.”
