As reported on PokerTube back in October, there was “a buzz of excitement among the poker-playing masses who spend their time on ‘Steam’, a digital distribution PC Gaming community. FullTiltPoker.net, the play money version of the industry giants, were offering up their client to an estimated 125 million+ Steam users.”

To that excitement was added anticipation when the greenlight process passed the game, with users voting it through, and now the time has arrived – FullTilt is well-and-truly available to all on Steam!

They now join a Steam-library of more than 3,500 games following the user-voting process to become what Poker Industry Pros called the first "large multiplayer real-time poker app".

Although only a play-money version of the world’s second-biggest site is available, hence the .net domain name, the range of games and depth of opposition means that new Steam poker fanatics are almost guaranteed to get hooked on the game.

With some ‘80,000 players each week’ chancing their chips on the green felt, according to the FullTilt release, there will be plenty of opportunities to hone your poker skills before venturing onto the real-money table. For many this ‘grounding’ in the game is the perfect approach to study before parting with any hard cash.

The Steam version allows players to fine-tune their game at Texas Hold’em, PL Omaha (PLO), 6-Card Omaha, Razz Poker, Stud Poker and Draw Poker –with a host of different tournament-types available including: High-speed Rush Poker, Jackpot Sit & Go tournaments, Multi-Table/Deep Stack/ Super Stack tourneys, plus Rebuy and Shootout formats.

Players are credited with 5000 play-money chips every day, so you’ll rarely find yourself completely bust –or at most a few hours away from a new day’s play if you get really unlucky. You can also make use of the in app purchases to top up chips via the Steam payment system.

Full Tilt Poker.net’s dedicated Support team works 24/7 to assist you with any issues you have, just as they do in the world of real-money poker, and it takes just a few minutes to set up your free account and get into the great games on offer. Simply select one of the fun avatars, join a table, and prepare to play.

As reported by pokernews.com, in addition players using Mac and PC, Linux operating systems will also be able to partake in the virtual action.
