Genting Casino Ship "World Dream" Readies For Maiden Voyage in Asian Waters

High rollers in Asia who enjoy combining their love of gambling with exciting sea cruises will have another voyage at their disposal when the Genting World Dream Casino Ship sets sail this November.

The maiden journey aboard the 18-story World Dream ocean liner that weighs in at 151,000 tons will take place Nov. 17, departing from Hong Kong and will make its way to Southeast Asian gambling destinations that include Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, the bustling city of Manila in the Philippines, Macau, and trips that circle the Pearl River Delta.

World Dream is Genting Hong Kong Ltd's second casino cruise ship under its Dream Cruises brand. Following its maiden journey on the 17th of November, two days later the mammoth vessel will embark on its next pleasure cruise out of Nansha in Guangzhou, China.

“We are excited to welcome World Dream at her home ports in Hong Kong and Nansha this November to further grow the Pearl River Delta as a cruise centre," stated Kent Zhu, president of the Genting Cruise Lines subsidiary.

The World Dream captain can grant permission to board the ship to up to 3,400 passengers who will be serviced by 2,030 crew members. In addition to enjoying the many bars, restaurants, and live shows on board, gamblers can partake in any number of casino games at the “Resorts World At Sea” gaming area.

World Dream follows the successful debut of sister ship Genting Dream, another high-end, floating, casino resort that was christened and set sail for the first time last November. Genting Dream passengers typically sign on for five-night cruises that depart from Nansha and Hong Kong and journey to Okinawa, Japan.

Genting is the world's third largest cruise line and has been in operation for over two decades, delighting gamblers with luxurious casino cruises in Asian waters.
