Global Poker Streamers Chasing The Baseball Dream!

Two of the most-loved games in the USA, poker and baseball, are coming together on Global Poker – all-expenses paid trips to the Major League Baseball All Star Game in Cleveland next month on the agenda…

Poker streamer Anthony ‘EataHogie’ Cicali III has been among those chasing the ultimate baseball prize this past two weeks, the Global Poker fan sharing his dream on his PlayUSA TwitchTV channel

Just before heading off to Vegas, the impressive all-rounder explained what attracts him to sharing his poker play.

“One of the most exciting things about streaming is sharing a winning experience with people,” Anthony explained. “Poker can be a lonely game sometimes but the social aspect of having people cheer you on when you make a deep run is awesome.”

The social/community-based approach of Global Poker, the fastest-growing online poker site in the US, has attracted Anthony for a while now.

“I like the nightly SC$30 buy-in SC$10,000 Guaranteed and just had a deep 4th place finish in the Tuesday SC$15,000 Tussle,” he explained before attempting another run at the Global Poker Grand Slam Tournament – Cleveland and baseball the big goal.

The qualification route hasn’t just been for tournament players however, with the Global Poker Ring games offering a way in to the final draw, with both play-money Gold Coins and the real-money Sweeps Cash™ versions counting.

The three packages everyone has been desperately battling for are a baseball fan’s dream:

  • TWO tickets to ALL 4 events held at Progressive Field in Cleveland on July 7, 8 and 9!
  • Three nights’ accommodation, checking in July 7, checking out July 10

We’ll find out soon enough if Anthony was one of the lucky ones, but in the meantime he took the time to explain how streaming helps his game:

“I actually feel like I play better because I’m able to actually voice out the thoughts in my head and really talk through situations.”

Anthony encountered the same problems as many of us at the tables:

“I make decisions too fast sometimes without stepping back and really considering my options, but when I stream I actually have better focus on the table.”

As with many of the Global Poker-focused streamers out there, the passion came before the expertise, Anthony revealing:

“I’m not super technical, and I’m still learning – a lot. When I first started streaming, I paid someone to do my full setup. I knew I wanted to stream, but I didn’t really know what that meant. It’s coming together pretty good, though.”

If you are new to the Global Poker set-up, there are some streamers going live five times a week – an excellent way to interact with their fans, with in-stream competitions and of course the big poker ‘sweat’.

The final draw for the Cleveland baseball experience of a lifetime will take place this coming Monday and of course we’ll let you know how Anthony and the other streamers got on!
