The argument over which hotel and casino is the best in Las Vegas is as old as the desert itself. Of course, we all have different tastes, but if enough patrons are asked for an opinion it usually does serve up a pretty clear answer.

Most resorts in the area offer a more than adequate service: you can even play poker online if you wish.

That opinion today, not necessarily from only poker players, is that the Venetian takes the top spot overall on the Las Vegas Strip. Let’s take a look over what the resort has to offer.

Fine Italian Design

If there’s one thing that Italians have been good at over the years it’s quality design. From architecture to clothing and even cars: the country offers some of the best style you’ll ever see in your life. The themed decor at the Venetian is no different.

It’s worth pointing out that the Venetian Las Vegas was the brainchild of Sheldon Adelson—online poke’s arch enemy. As CEO and majority owner of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. he was known to be a stickler about quality, and this showed throughout this property.

So what exactly is it about the Venetian that has people getting all excited about staying there? As mentioned, the decor is simply out of this world. Recreations of Venice, including St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace are fantastic. The Campanile Tower looks absolutely splendid.

Fine Dining

With more than 40 restaurants there’s no shortage of options when it’s time to sit down and eat. Obviously every kind of Italian option is covered nicely; from pizza to fine dining to purely Italian seafood, it’s all there. But there’s also everything from Latin American to Asian and Greek too.

Celebrity chefs, such as David Chang, run their own restaurants in the resort, if that’s your thing. There’s plenty of places to head over to if you want to name drop to your friends when you get home.

Rooms

When you hear that more than 4,000 suites are available, you should get a better idea just how big this place is. None of these rooms are basic either: every single one has that luxurious touch.

Regular suites can go for more than $500 per night in high season, but that does drop to even less than $200 on occasion on quieter times of the year.

Customer Service

Customer service in the US is generally excellent. For that reason it’s tough to say one resort over another has much better service. But it’s absolutely true that many customers report they were treated extra special during their stay at the Venetian. So much so that they considered the high cost of their booking still great value. After all, who doesn’t want to be pampered when they’re having a week or so away from it all?

Final Thoughts

While probably the most expensive resort to stay at on the Las Vegas Strip, people do seem to think it’s worth it. The attention to detail is second-to-none, making every stay something to remember.
