4 years ago03 Nov
The partypoker LIVE $10million GTD Millions World Main Event will see a special introduction for Jeopardy sensation James Holzhauer this month, a quiz night open to all players on the eve of Jamesâ run at the Caribbean Poker Party biggie!
Jeopardy James, as the Las Vegas-based sports gambler is now affectionately known, scooped $2,464,216 during his record-breaking 32-game winning streak on the popular TV show.
A keen poker player too, James will be part of the Baha Mar crew in the Bahamas â teaming up with partypoker Chairman and Poker Hall of Famer, Mike Sexton, for part one of what is sure to be a fun-and fact-filled evening.
Quizmasters and poker tag-team
Sexton is certainly looking forward to the team event, with James by his side as a fellow question master:
âJoin us for a night of fun with 'Jeopardy James' Holzhauer - the greatest quiz game guru of all time!â
The highlight for many will be when the winning quiz teams get to face off with James in round 2, Sexton explaining:
âWe have deliberately added a team element as we suspect nobody will have a chance playing him one-on-one in a quiz competition!â
Of course, the poker is the main reason thousands will be heading to the Bahamas, the CPP running from 15-24 November, with $15million in guarantees across the festival.
$10million Millions World Main Event
James will be hot-footing it from the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions to take part in the $10million GTD Millions World Main Event kicking off on November 19th.
âI am sure it will be a fun quiz night,â said James of the precursor to his poker challenge, adding: âI can hardly wait for the Millions World Main Event. I might not go all-in as much as I did on Jeopardy! would like to thank partypoker LIVE and Mike Sexton for the opportunity.â
Sexton, who teamed up with Holzauer in this summerâs WSOP Tag-team event, has high hopes for his poker partner, stating:
âMake no mistake, James is a great poker player - it will be fascinating to see how far he can go.â
Satellite your way to the Bahamas
There are still a couple of weeks to go until Baha Mar fills up with poker players, and tomorrow on partypoker you have the chance to join James and Mike at the incredible Bahamas festival.
Online satellites for both the $1,100 Mini Main and $10,300 World Main Event are running, and you could find yourself getting there for as little as $2.20.
There is also the no-small matter of partypoker LIVEâs recent revolutionary changes, which now allow qualifiers to play Day 1 and Day 2 of the live event in an online format.
If you do it that way and make it through to day 3, you are already in the money and join the rest of the players aiming for the massive prizes up top.
