Kenneth “K.L.” Cleeton has finally taken delivery of a new van paid for by a campaign organised by Veronica Brill. Brill pushed for 15 months to raise funds for a customised van which will allow Cleeton to travel long distances more freely.

Time for a Trip to Las Vegas?

K.L. Cleeton was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy as a child which eventually cost him the ability to move below the neck. Luckily he was able to retain enough feeling in his fingers to be able to operate an electric wheelchair, allowing some freedom and independence.

As a huge poker fan, Cleeton would love to be able to travel for events around the US but his medical requirements have thus far made this a difficult proposition. Now though, he has everything he needs to move around the country freely whilst taking care of his needs.

Cleeton posted a video of the van arriving on Twitter, and he looks like the happiest guy in the world.

Great Work by Veronica Brill

After 15 months of fundraising, the fund started by Veronica Brill hit $53,231 with Bill Perkins promising to chuck in $25,000 on top of that. This was more than enough to buy the van and a trailer with customisation refits too.

This has to be one of the best feel-good stories in the poker community we’ve ever seen.
