Loni Harwood Wins 4th WSOP Circuit Ring

Seat 7 at the final table, 7th in chips, and a stack of 77,000 had a nice ring to it for Loni Harwood. That ring turned out to be her 4th WSOP Circuit gold ring after Harwood parlayed that short stack into a win at Event #5 at the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, Florida.
"I’m not superstitious or anything," Harwood told WSOP reporters. "But it just seems like every time I’m at a final table, it’s always seven.”
Amazingly, there were no sevens among the digits of Loni's prize money, which came to $10,801 in the $365 re-entry event that attracted 120 entries and created a $36,000 prize pool. The victory put Harwood's lifetime cashes at $2,563,934, per the Hendon Mob database.
Poker Star On The Rise
A native of Staten Island, NY, Harwood has two WSOP gold bracelets sitting alongside those four Circuit rings. She managed to win that 4th ring without personally knocking out a final tablist until Loni sent Eric Polirer to the rail in third place.
Heads-up action versus Stephen Hawley saw Harwood still behind in chips when play began. But doubling up gave her the lead and put Harwood on the path to victory.
It was Loni's third cash at Coconut Creek and follows a runner-up finish and $44,582 payday last month at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open in Hollywood, Florida where she also cashed three times. Harwood is currently 10th on the Women's All-Time Money List.
