Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi Downs Joe Hachem in Heads-Up Slugfestest

The highly-anticipated heads-up showdown between 2005 Main Event champion Joe Hachem and 3-time WSOP Players Champion, Michael ā€˜The Grinderā€™ Mizrachi, saw a convincing victory for the American in a hotly-contested but super-friendly battle during the Australian Poker Tour stop in Southport, Queenslandā€¦


The best of three encounter had received top billing as the Ladbrokes-sponsored APT descended on the home of the Southport Sharks, an Aussie Rules football club based on the Gold Coastā€¦


ā€¦with good friends Hachem and Mizrachi doing their best to wind each other up as the match approachedā€¦


ā€¦Hachem laughing off his underdog status that had him down as an almost 3-1 dog in the betting stakes.


With the match running not one, but two separate livestreams, fans of the poker legends who couldnā€™t make it to the match were spoiled for choice for following the play, ā€˜The Grinderā€™ taking down the first of the three exhibition-style battlesā€¦

ā€¦Mizrachi sealing victory by doing the same in the second encounter, although Hachem had reason to celebrate anyway as his son Daniel scooped the Super High Roller!

The match, played in excellent spirits, showed poker in its best possible light, Hachem telling PokerNews beforehand:
