Following the recent addition of the Adjarabet to the Microgaming Poker Network, the MPN Poker Tour stop in Tbilisi, Georgia has been officially announced. The Main Event of the Tour will feature a very affordable buy-in of $550 and a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000, offering great value for money.
Taking place from May 28 – 31, the Main Event will be hosted in the Sports Palace in the capital of Georgia. The online satellites will be offered across the Microgaming network, starting with the buy-in as low as €0.25.
MPN poker tour was founded in 2014 and has crowned ten winners so far, visiting numerous locations in Europe, including Malta, London and Tallinn. The events featured different types of games, from the usual No Limit Hold’em tournaments to 5-Card Omaha and Open Face Chinese Poker.
Alex Scott, Head of Poker at Microgaming expressed his belief that this is the best value MPN Tour to date, adding that the players will certainly enjoy the atmosphere in Tbilisi. In addition to a number of exciting poker events, the novelty at this year’s MPN Poker Tour is the introduction of the Player of the Year competition.
The eventual winner of this title will get the free entries into all the MPN Tour main events and since the organizers are expecting Tbilisi to feature the biggest field this year, those looking to capture the prize will need to come up with strong finishes in Georgia to stay in the contention.
Tallinn event was the first one in 2015 as it took place mid-January. Mikita Andreichykau ran away with the title and the €15,451 first place money after making a three-way deal. After Tbilisi in May, MPN Poker Tour will visit Malta in September.
Tbilisi stop is expected to be a great success due to numerous factors, one of the most important being the geographical location of the city. Georgia’s capital is located ideally for players from the majority of European countries and the residents of most of these countries do not require visas to enter Georgia.
