Footballing legend Neymar spewed €1million ($1.1million) in 1 hour playing online poker and then laughed it off before having his Twitter account hacked and used to send offensive messages!

The Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain star is out for the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery last month, so has plenty of time to indulge his poker passion.

This time, though, it ended in tears as he lost a cool €1million – but the crying turned top laughter as he realised it was barely half-a-week’s pay.

Neymar has four years left of a €36million per year deal he signed with PSG in 2021, and in addition, the striker is believed to be worth around £77m ($96m), according to Forbes, so can easily afford the loss.

The clip above, which soon went viral, even included Neymar fake-flute-playing along to the titanic theme tune as a chunk of his fortune sank below the waves.

The Brazilian not only plays online, but also has a few live cashes to his name, including a small cash at last year’s WSOP in Vegas. A regular at EPT Barcelona over the years when he was playing for Barcelona FC, the 31-year-old also put in an appearance at this year’s inaugural EPT stop in Paris.

His poker-playing hasn’t always sat well with his teammates, however, with Kylian Mbappe reportedly unhappy with Neymar playing poker late into the evening before critical matches.

In addition to the €1million loss, Neymar’s Twitter account was also hacked the same night, with a “Fuck you, I hate you!” message aimed at Brazilian news outlet Choquei.

A PSG spokesperson later confirmed that Neymar’s account had been hacked, with this and other messages later deleted.
