Online World Challenge at Global Poker a Massive Success3 years agoSponsored
Global Poker's Online World Challenge (OWC) recorded 188,000 player entries and gave away more than SC$1,500,000, surpassing all expectations before reaching its conclusion.
The highly successful festival finished with a bang by hosting two SC$10,000 guaranteed tournaments, including the Regular Sunday OWC event that saw the guarantee boosted from SC$7,500 to SC$10,000. The response from players was nothing short of amazing as 50% more entered the tournament.
The Regular Sunday OWC title went to ‘GoodTurn2’ who navigated his way through the 315-player field to collect SC$2,465. Joining him as a champion was 'jfried10,’ who took down the OWC Monster Freeroll for SC$2,295, which was the festival's largest tournament with 524 players.
Positive Changes to Daily Tournament Schedule
After the smashing success of the OWC, Global Poker has turned its attention to its regular tournament schedule. A few positive changes have been made in order to provide an increase in value to players.
Those changes include the player favorites of the Gold Coin and Flop Challenges. After receiving valuable feedback from its loyal customers, Global Poker reps have decided to up their offerings from one Gold Coin and Flop Challenge per day to multiple events for players to take part in and enjoy.
In other words, players who see just 50 Gold Coin flops a day will now have access to more than SC$20,000 in tournament guarantees every week. That means more value for Gold Coin and $weeps Cash players at Global Poker.
U.S. Players Welcome
More information on the new tournament schedule is available at Global Poker’s Tournament Page. Players in the U.S. are welcome to get in on the action at online poker's newest and most exciting poker site.
