If it’s cold outside, as the popular festive song goes, perhaps staying in to take advantage of partypoker’s brand-new Christmas Freeze series is a better idea – 201 Freezeout tournaments and $10million in guaranteed prizepools on offer!

Kicking off on December 23rd and running until January 6th, players can buy in from as little as $3-30 and have the choice of a wide-range of freezeout tournament formats to indulge in, including Mix-Max, 6-Max, 8-Max and PLO.

Head of Poker for partypoker, Chris Donnachie, said of the upcoming winter festival:

"We're pleased to give all players the chance to enjoy some big money poker over the festive period with the Christmas Freeze series, which will run entirely in Freezeout format following our recent decision to reintroduce the format to most of our Power Series games."

Evenings only!

All the tournaments kick-off in a 3-hour evening window, between 18:00 and 21:00 CET, so you don’t have to worry about missing out through the busy seasonal days.

The surprise bonus festival also has a Christmas Eve break to allow for the non-poker part of the festive season, but it’s back to the freezeout action on Christmas Day in the evening. New Year’s Eve is the same - a day off to welcome in 2019!

Huge value added

In addition, at 7pm CET every day during the Christmas Freeze festival, partypoker are adding a huge chunk of value to five specific tournaments, the $3.30, $11, $33, $109 and $530 events all boasting guaranteed prize pools many times bigger than their buy-ins.

By way of example, the partypoker crew point out that the Christmas Freeze #02-M: $100K Gtd [PKO] tournament has :

“$100,000 guaranteed prize pool for a buy-in of $33”, while its $3.30 buy-in cousin features “a whopping $15,000 guaranteed prize pool, which is huge in comparison to the entry cost”.

Here are the most important parts of the partypoker Christmas Freeze for you to know:

  • There are 4 buy-in levels to choose from; Low, Medium, High and High Roller sections
  • Buy-ins range from $3-30 all the way up to $1050
  • the biggest tournament prizepool is a massive $300K
  • 201 unique tournaments
  • 6-Max, 8-Max, Mix-Max, PKO, PLO and PLO PKO all freezeouts

Satellites

Always a good way to get yourself a seat, partypoker’s Christmas Freeze satellites are already up and running, and they start from as little as $0.55. You can check out the satellite schedule here.

The Big Freeze?

Actually its real name is the Big Game, and it’s a $1million guaranteed freezeout event with a hefty $5200 buy-in set to run alongside the Christmas Freeze Series.

If that’s as outwith your bankroll as it is mine, never fear, as partypoker state:

“We are running a plethora of satellites into this $1million guaranteed affair, with Big Game ADDED Phase 1 satellites daily at 18:00 CET, 20:00 CET, 22:00 CET and 00:00 CET costing $109 each".

Apparently if you “Survive for 22 five-minute levels” you’ll have made it through to the weekly final where no direct buy-ins are allowed. The final is set for December 30th.

So, $10million over 201 tournaments and in typical freezeout style, just like the festive season, when it’s over it’s over – so enjoy it while you can!
