Partypoker Introduce Freezeouts to All Main Events for 2019 LIVE MILLIONS Tour

Partypoker have announced that their LIVE MILLIONS tour will see all the Main Events switched to Freezeout format for 2019, the buy-in to be set at 10k of local currency on the 4-stop series around the globe.

The massively popular MILLIONS series will visit Rio de Janeiro in March for the South American stop, followed by Montreal in May for the North America versión, before moving on to Leon Tsoukernik’s Kings Casino for the MILLIONS Europe leg of the tour in August at Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

After that, it’s off to the Bahamas in November for the MILLIONS World, and the series culminates with the MILLIONS Online – dates still to be confirmed.

Speaking of the changes, John Duthie, president of partypoker LIVE, said:

“Our MILLIONS Season 2 tour has been very successful, however we pride ourselves on listening to player feedback and continually improving our offering to ensure we provide the best live tour in the world."

To that end, says Duthie:

“As part of this we are going to change the format of our MILLIONS tournaments to a 10,000 (local currency) freezeout, with reduced late registration and no multiple Day 1s."

The changes also include reduced schedules – a maximum of 7 days – which Duthie states will give the hosts: ”the option to add their own events around the tournament to build the festival.”

The addition of a ‘partypoker MILLIONS travelling trophy’ is another new touch, each Main Event winner having their name and details inscribed before moving on to the next stop.

Duthie explained the changes further, saying:

“We want the MILLIONS brand to be synonymous with being one of the most prestigious live competitions in the world." He added: “We hope these changes will allow us to improve and build our MILLIONS tour to make it the best LIVE experience for our players.”

Partypoker are expecting over 200 qualifiers to join the entries for the first leg at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro (March 15-24).
