partypoker has released the first phase of their ground-breaking mobile product. The mobile poker application is set to revolutionise the way players get their poker fix while on the move, offering a best-in-class experience.

Revolutionary Times

The mobile application has undergone a complete overhaul, and now offers a new selection of innovative and exciting new features

This project will now be a major focus for the company over the coming months while they collect feedback from their customers to further optimise and improve the product. Beta testing has already been completed by a select group of players including members of Team partypoker.

The new portrait layout supports one-handed gameplay and improved table tiling which will please many players. Team Online member Jaime Staples said:

“This app brings poker on your phone into the modern age. The experience of just being able to play with one finger is something I have never had the chance to experience before. It's so simple and intuitive! It's by far the best poker app I have played on my phone. So simple to use and fun!”

SPINS

A brand new SPINS interface is comprised of a new lobby layout with improved search functions. Players can switch effortlessly between a carousel or tiled view, as well as being able to register for four SPINS tournaments of the same buy-in at once.

Ross McQuater, Head of Product at partypoker said:

“The new SPINS product shows our commitment to improving the mobile experience for our customers.“

Players will also be able to use new features such as the ability to throw things at your opponent and view rabbit cards, in the drive to provide customers “with a more fun and engaging playing experience.“

Social Friendly Currency

‘Diamonds’ is the new social friendly currency for the partypoker mobile app, aimed at providing a more immersive playing experience. They are earned based on the number of hands you play and then spent on in-game actions such as animations to throw at your opponent and viewing ‘Rabbit’ cards.

‘Rabbit’ is designed to intensify the action between opponents by letting you see cards that were not dealt. No doubt that some will drive themselves slightly mad when they can see just what might have been.

Other features include:

  • Bubble chat
  • Emojis’ All-in animations
  • Enhanced dialogues such as announcing tournament winners, aimed at generating greater excitement among players

Jeff Gross, from Team Online, said:

“This app changes the poker experience for the user in a big way. Mobile poker tech has been archaic, and this makes you really say WOW when you play it. Refreshing and fun, the biggest shake-up in poker I have seen in a long time!”

A new hand replayer will also be a welcome addition for many players. The ability to go back and mull over how you played a particular spot is crucial for improving players.

All-in-all, it looks as if partypoker has really pulled out all the stops in their drive to give customers the most engaging experience possible. The days of a dry interface with little to see are truly over.
