partypoker LIVE and Triton Poker join forces for Super High Roller Series

Two of the poker industry’s biggest players – partypoker LIVE and Triton Poker – have announced a special partnership that will see the red diamond site on full display at the Triton Super High Roller Series…

In recent years Triton Poker has become synonymous with the highest buy-in events in the world, pitching the top pros against wealthy businessmen, and next month’s Montenegro festival will be the first time that partypoker have joined the fun as tour partners.

Jason Koon, a site ambassador for both companies, explained the attraction of the latest deal.

 “When it comes to playing live poker tournaments there is nothing like going to one of Triton's stops. The action is endless, the stakes are the highest in the world and the players are treated with an experience second to none."

Of partypoker he stated:

“I signed with partypoker because I truly believed in their direction and their vision of a brighter future in poker. partypoker and Triton partnering up is another giant leap forward for the high rollers and for the poker world in general." Koon added: “I could be biased because I ran really well last time, but Montenegro maybe my favourite poker stop in the world. I really look forward to going back there and playing again.”

Last year’s outing saw Koon make four final tables, taking down the HK$1M Short-Deck Ante-Only tournament for his biggest-ever score of $3,579,836.

Short Deck tournaments have become so popular among players that partypoker released their own online version for the dotcom market earlier this year, and the Maestral Casino & Resort in Montenegro will feature several of them on the schedule for the partnership launch.

President of partypoker LIVE, John Duthie, said of the news:

“This is such a great and potentially rewarding partnership! When I first saw Triton's events and the quality of their streaming, I just knew we could work really well together. You can just tell that they see things the same way as us and that it's not all ‘business’." The founder of the Triton Poker SHR Series, Richard Yong, stated:
