Phil Hellmuth has once again been showing how the other half live after borrowing a private jet to fly down to Mexico for some WSOP 2020 action.

The Poker Brat is known for his showing off tendencies just as much as his petulance at the table. Every time he’s in a posh Las Vegas suite he’s tweeting us photos from every angle to show us how good he has it.

High Roller

Everyone knows that Hellmuth is a compulsive bracelet chaser, playing in every event that gives him a chance if it fits in his schedule. But he also loves the high rollers

A confirmed narcissist, he could never do without being seen playing the biggest events in any festival that he’s at.

The reason for this trip was the $25,000 buy-in NL Poker Players Championship - a real classic the fans love to rail every year. Many would say it’s the most prestigious event of the series.

Unfortunately for Hellmuth, he didn’t even manage to cash in this one after busting out in a three-way pot holding KJ - the hand he likes to berate other players for playing the most it seems.

Great Advert for US Poker Legalisation

In the middle of all the tweets coming from 41,000 feet, Senate candidate Adam Murphy took it upon himself to give a shout for getting online poker legalised in the US.

“What does it say about infringing on individual freedoms when @phil_hellmuth has to go to Mexico to play online poker? Is it safe? He’s putting in $25,000 of his own money. Time to legalize online poker in WI. Is it a big deal? No. It’s just easy. #legalizeonlinepokerinwi”

The Wisconsin politician is clearly a poker fan and will no doubt have picked up a few votes from his public show of support for the game.
