A new TV series called "Poker Face" will begin streaming on the Peacock network on Jan. 26, with 10 episodes already in the hopper for Season 1.

Poker fans who tune in expecting poker-related content may want to keep the remote close at hand as poker action is apparently not the main hook. Instead, the show is being promoted as a mystery series starring Natasha Lyonne, an expert at discerning truths and lies, and solving crimes.

Somebody ask Miss Lyonne to have a word with Robbi Jade Lew!

All kidding aside, early reviews don't give much detail as to the amount of poker action that makes it to the screen. It appears that Lyonne does play poker in the series and is quite good at it due to her "extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying," according to IMDb.

The International Movie Database goes on to state that Lyonne's character (Charlie Cale) "hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can't help but solve."

That cast of characters is quite impressive and includes Nick Nolte, Adrien Brody, Chloe Sevigny, Judith Light, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Bratt, Ellen Barkin, Tim Meadows, Ron Perlman, and many more.

Lyonne has appeared in dozens of films and is perhaps best known for her roles as Nicky Nichols on "Orange Is the New Black" and Nadia Vulvokov on "Russian Doll," both original Netflix series'.

"Poker Face" is directed and written by Rian Johnson, whose directing credits include "Knives Out," several episodes of "Breaking Bad," and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

"Poker Face" the TV series has no affiliation whatsoever with the film of the same name starring Russell Crowe that's set for release on the big screen in November. Ditto that for Lady Gaga's smash hit single in 2009 that topped the charts in 20 countries.

Here's a trailer for the TV series, "Poker Face."
