Poker Movie Contest at Bovada

Did you watch "Runner Runner" at the cinema and leave the theatre believing that you could come up with a better poker movie than that? Did you enjoy "Rounders" but feel that the outcome was contrived and a bit predictable?

Here is your chance to put Hollywood movie directors to shame by creating a poker movie outline that will excite the masses. Your movie plot idea may not get optioned by bigshots in the film industry - in fact it likely won't - but you can win $500 in tournament entries at Bovada.

Here's the deal. Submit a blog of between 250 and 500 words that summarizes your poker movie. Include a plot summary and the stars that you would cast to play each part. Be as detailed and creative as you'd like to be while staying within the parameters of the word requirements.

Entries can be submitted at Bovada's Facebook page. The deadline is the end of the day on February 26, 2015. Remember, the winner gets eight tournament tickets valued at $500.

And who knows? Maybe a Hollywood director will like your idea and pay for the rights to bring your concept to the big screen .......

Hint. Stay away from a "Rounders" sequel. The plot for such a movie that brings back stars Edward Norton and Matt Damon has been completed, according to Deadline. The film remains "in development" with shooting scheduled for Las Vegas and Paris, and casts an as yet unnamed villain to take the place of John Malkovich.
