Poker Night in America has announced that the CBS Sports Network is quite pleased with the show and has signed on to broadcast for two more seasons.
PNIA kicked off in June and has aired 29 broadcasts to date. Another 26 episodes have already been captured on film and are ready for release, with plans in the works to shoot 52 more after coming to terms with CBS Sports.
888poker is also on board as the main sponsor for two more seasons.
We couldn’t have done this without our friends at 888poker," wrote creator Todd Anderson on the PNIA blog.
Season Two kicks off on January 5 and loyal viewers may want to take note that the broadcasts will now be shown on Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. EST instead of Sunday. The new time slot is seen as a better fit and more stable.
Anderson also informs that viewers will see some changes in the upcoming season that include different graphics and "a more traditional format" when the cameras display hole cards and the players holding them.
I think it’s safe to say that the show will always be a work in progress and we’ll continue to make it better," Anderson added.
