The first PokerStars Festival tour stop of 2018 will be at the Hippodrome Casino in London from January 22-28, it was announced by PokerStars Live.

Three floors of gaming action and a wide variety of entertainment options makes the venue in London's West End a popular hub of activity for PokerStars Festival London. Included in the fun is the player party, a can't miss affair in the Hippodrome Casino on Cranbourn Street in Leicester Square.

The events schedule includes these key tournaments, with corresponding buy-ins:

Super Deep Stack
January 22-24
£170
High Roller
January 23-24
£2,200
Main Event
January 24-28
£990
London Cup
January 27-28
£330
PLO Double Chance
January 28
£220

If you happen to get eliminated from a tournament and still want to play some poker, or if your preference is ring game action, cash games will be ongoing throughout the festival at the following stakes:

  • £1/£3 NLH Shock Clock (minimum £150 - maximum £1,000)
  • £2/£5 NLH Deep Stack (minimum £500 - no maximum)

Players need only be 18 years of age to participate and be able to prove it with valid photo identification. Also, all players must be Hippodrome Casino members. Pre-registration is available online at the casino's website.

Don't Rely on PokerStars Client to Buy-In

Be forewarned that PokerStars.UK players cannot buy into live events using funds from their PokerStars account and must use cash, wire transfers, or debit and credit cards. Satellite entry winners needn't worry as their buy-ins are already covered.

Regarding accommodations, PokerStars Travel can assist you there, including possible discounts. Winners of satellite packages should check their email inboxes within seven days of winning a satellite for further information.

Record-Breaking 2017

The 2017 PokerStars Festival London was held at the Hippodrome Casino last January and broke records. The initial guarantee of the Main Event more than doubled when 944 entries created a £824,112 prize pool.

It was a new attendance record for the former United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour and saw Rehman Kassam claim victory and £89,320 in prize money. A final table deal with three players remaining enabled Daniel Harwood (£95,000) to win more money than Kassam despite finishing runner-up. Eric Cech (£70,000) was last among the dealmakers.
