When it comes to poker personalities, certainly one of the most fascinating is that of Phil "Unabomber" Laak. The 42 year old Dublin born pro has been around the circuti for quite a while, and has won both a WPT and a WSOP title in his career. The Dublin born player who got his nickname for his dressing style, resembeling that of the original "Unabomber", Theodore Kaczynski, is also the current record holder for most hours played at the cash game tables, which he set in 2010, playing a 115 hour long marathon session, entering the Guniess records book.

The funny thing about poker is handling the anti-luck neutral spots

Phil took some time during a tournament break to speak with our Rikard, and as usual the interview was a festival of Laak wisdoms. Phil talked about poker as well as his personal life. The interview covers Phil's thoughts on Badugi, PLO 8, and other games, as well as his current playing and workout regimes.
In his own unique style, Phil gave us his opinion on various poker related issues, including tilt, and his way of dealing with this woe of all poker players. Phil also gives us his expert opinion on thick protein shakes and how they should be drank.

Regarding his WSOP he talks his participation at the PLO 8 tournament final table and how he handles the "anti-luck" hands. One of the most brilliant minds in the game, he explains various mathematical game elements and shows us his understanding of the deeper elements of the game.

I go straw free, I believe they (shakes) are 37% too thick for the straw
