High stakes sports bettor and casino gambler Tyler "Trainwreck" Niknam, an immensely popular Twitch streamer, has made good on his promise to find a new streaming platform, teaming up with upstart Kick.

Trainwreck is currently in the process of kicking Twitch to the curb, throwing shade on the gaming platform for taking advantage of its content creators. Niknam feels that the 50/50 split at Twitch is unfair to streamers and is intent on making sure that Kick streamers get a 95% cut of subscription income, as well as the entirety of tips.

He'll have a say in the platform's operations in his new role as non-owner advisor and non-exclusive broadcaster. Trainwreck is on record stating that he will β€œhelp creators succeed where Twitch has failed them.”

Twitch forced the hand of Trainwreck and other streamers by announcing a ban on unregulated casino sites such as Roobet and Stake last October. Niknam has been relentless in his criticism of Twitch ever since, crying foul over the platform's inconsistent rules regarding online casinos and sports and highstakes betting.

Joining Kick prior to Trainwreck were Twitch streamers Xposed and Roshtein, the latter billing himself as the longest active slots streamer. Together, they have more than 1.5 million followers, while Trainwreck alone boasts more than 2 million.

A good number of those followers have been joining the new streamers on Kick, as the tweet below indicates.

While Kick is making headway as a streaming platform, those who sign on to stream or tune in to watch their favorite streamers are advised to have a bit of patience. Various bugs and difficulties are expected at any new venture and Kick hasn't been an exception to the rule.

Kick platform honchos are keeping users informed of any issues or problems via social media. Any wannabe streamers out there looking to join a startup, this may be the right time and place.
