The R&B singer at the centre of the infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape scooped a $17k jackpot in California at the weekend after putting $100 into the penny slot machine.

William Ray Norwood Jr. – who goes by the stage name Ray J and is the cousin of Snoop Dogg – sent TMZ the video himself showing how he scooped the jackpot on the popular ‘Buffalo’ machine.

The rapper-turned-reality TV star and businessman was playing at the San Manuel Casino in Southern California, and can be heard apologising to his wife, Princess Love.

“Hey baby, I told you I was coming home, but I wanted to come to the casino,” said Ray J.

The 40-year-old also explained his choice of game, stating:

“I don’t play the dice. I play slots because I’m old! I’m an old man. This is some old man shit. You won’t catch me on the dice games.”

It’s not that he can’t afford to play bigger. With five studio albums to his name and a reputed fortune well into the $millions from his Raycon electronics brand, Ray J recently saw his signature Global Earbuds brand hitting a reported one million unique customers worldwide.

Ray J was already a well-known recording artist when a sex tape of him and his then-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian was made public.

Kardashian claimed she was under the influence of ecstasy when the video was made and later sued Vivid Entertainment who released the film, accepting a $5million settlement.
