Ronaldo and Neymar Keep #RaiseIt Going

It may have started off as a simple gimmick, but the #RaiseIt campaign launched by PokerStars and featuring superstar footballers Neymar Jr and Ronaldo shows no sign of letting up, the duo consistently finding new and exciting ways to up the stakes in the friendly trick-shot challenge.
With their initial videos quickly going viral - they have now passed the 20million views barrier on YouTube - the challenge has spread to other sportstars such as Sergio Garcia and social media users have also been posting their own special brand of trickery.
The campaign came about when Neymar Jr decided to post a video of his clever little football backspin, which saw him play keepy-uppy before slicing the ball into the air. When it landed, it spun back into the boot of his luxury car, his cheering girlfriend slamming the trunk shut in victory.
Not one to be outdone, Ronaldo rose to the challenge by posting drone footage of his own car and ball trick shot which saw him kick the football into the back of the moving sportscar.
Neymar Jr recently announced in a press release that he loves âthe adrenaline rush and excitement you get from challenging others,â adding:
But itâs just as rewarding setting challenges for yourself. The #raiseit videos feature many things that we all do in everyday life and it really pushes the boundaries with encouraging people to try crazy new tricks and hone their skills. Creating the #raiseit videos has been a lot of fun and Iâm looking forward to see what the internet does in response.â
The internet, naturally has gone wild over the antics, with 1million+ likes on Facebook to add to the YouTube views. Things escalated in good-humoured fashion from the first few tricks and PokerStars even launched their own site to accommodate the #RaiseIt challenge between their Team PokerStars Sportstars pair.
With #raiseit Neymar Jr and Ronaldo are essentially playing poker,â explains PokerStarsâ Simon Tilbury, âbut without the chips and cards. Poker skills transcend to many areas of life as reaching any personal goal takes patience, focus, determination and courage.â
The most recent tricks which the famous pair have indulged in will leave you speechless! When Neymar Jr decided to respond to Ronaldos âdrone bringing him his toothbrushâ skit with his own âsmash the drone out of the sky with a footballâ trick last month, you knew that the stakes would be raised.
Neymarâs take on an old magicianâs trick saw two of the little flying machines whisk the tablecloth away as he enjoyed a poolside breakfast with friends.
Ronaldo then upped the ante by showing that tea can be made in many ways, not least of which were an over-the-head goal with a teabag into a #RaiseIt mug!
Again not wanting to âfoldâ to the elder statesman of Brazilian footballâs raise, the younger Neymar showed how a barbecue omelette should really be made, flipping the egg from his foot over his head into the frying pan! Quite what the pair will come up with next to wow their fans remains to be seen, but so far the fun has spread far and wide.
Tilbury, theAssociate Director of Advertising for PokerStars, said:

The website then allows people to upload their videos and see how well they do in the public vote.
Tilbury added:
