SealsWithClubs Off-line Since February 11

Loyal players of SealsWithClubs (SWC) have had to take their Bitcoin and play elsewhere for the last few days as the poker room has been out of commission due to a “hardware failure.”

The industry’s leading Bitcoin-only poker site aims to be up and running as soon as able. The problems began on February 11, leading to a short time off-line before virtual cards were once again in the air. But more issues later in the same day caused another suspension of play, one that has now lasted into its 6th day of inaction.

“Sorry for the extended downtime and inconvenience,” the SWC website states. “We’ve put up a cashout form for anyone that needs a withdrawal while we’re down,” a Twitter post added.

Players who do withdraw and don’t receive payment within 24 hours are advised to send emails to [email protected] or [email protected].

The fact that Bitcoin is the only method of payment processing at SWC has nothing to do with the shutdown. One Bitcoin is currently trading at $237.

Recent rumors suggesting that PokerStars may soon add Bitcoin to its payment processing options could be a tremendous lift for the cryptocurrency’s appeal and acceptance.
