Lex 'RAsZi' Veldhuis’ dream of WCOOP Main Event glory was shattered when runner-runner spades flushed his heroic efforts away, the bad beat witnessed by the second biggest TwitchTV stream of the day across the entire network…

The Dutch fans’ favourite had been thrilling Twitch with his play throughout the first two days of the WCOOP biggie, a $1.5 million prize waiting up top and fellow PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu as eager as the other 32,839 viewers who were tuned in for Veldhuis to go all the way …

…with TwitchTV poker record-holder Jason ‘JCarver’ Somerville also among those cheering from the sidelines…

The horrendous bad beat above, however, put paid to a dream ending for all involved, the runner-runner flush seeing Veldhuis hit the rails in 58th spot for $28,632.35, but it was a day - and a stream - to remember for poker fans!
