How many of us would like to follow our dreams and move to Las Vegas and play poker for a living?

If that thought has ever crossed your mind, you're certainly not alone. You're also not alone if you never actually do it.

But someone who has done it is Tim Watts a/k/a The Trooper. A former restaurant server in Jacksonville, Florida, The Trooper, who told Cardplayer Lifestyle that he came up with that name because of his love for the Iron Maiden song of the same title, threw caution to the wind and made the journey to the bright lights and poker rooms of Las Vegas 2 and 1/2 years ago. He's been vlogging about it ever since.

Vices or Bad Habits?

Readily admitting to drinking way too much coffee and swearing too much, The Trooper seems to spend an awful lot of time walking through parking lots and around town while vlogging. But that just may be the whole point of his journey, which is to vlog about his life. That life is centered around playing low-stakes poker in Las Vegas casinos.

The Trooper typically reveals the wins and losses of his poker sessions during his vlogs, recalling both the good and bad of his play at the tables. While poker is the main focus of his content, Watts also takes pride in serving as an inspiration to others who may be a bit reticent in taking charge of their lives and going out and doing what they actually enjoy.

His vlogs have been getting quite a bit of attention from viewers. More than 130,000 viewed one of his more popular uploads titled "Winning Big at MGM Grand Poker Room Las Vegas." Subscribers now total over 17,000. Check out The Trooper's vlogs on YouTube at TheTrooper97Vlog.
