Twitch, the popular streaming platform, faced significant backlash when it removed content featuring unregulated gambling sites and streamers including Roshtein and Trainwreck in October. This move resulted in the departure of prominent streamers such as Roshtein and Trainwreck. However, Twitch's CEO, Dan Clancy, has reaffirmed the company's stance on the matter while also expressing a possibility for the banned sites to return if they comply with regulations.

Twitch requires that a government regulator has licensed a casino website to be eligible for the platform. Initially, Clancy emphasized that the approval must come from a US-based agency. However, he extended an olive branch to the banned sites.

Clancy reiterated Twitch's support for streaming regulated gambling content in the same interview. However, he noted the discomfort with the substantial earnings the unregulated offshore sites made through Twitch. Clancy explained that the significant amount of money going to a few creators was a key factor behind Twitch's board decision to ban these unregulated sites, as they believed it was not beneficial for the community.
