Vanessa Kade Signs for ACR

Vanessa Kade is the latest signing at ACR. The Canadian pro is hot on the heels of Chris Moneymaker as she enters the team at the number one US-facing poker site.

The former video game producer for Disney Interactive Studios was active in the poker community as far back as before Black Friday, with tournament cashes dated to 2010. By 2014 she had made the move to playing full-time and is now mainly grinding cash games, but can be seen playing the occasional tournament on her Twitch channel.

In on Merit Alone

When the news broke of Kade’s signing, many assumed it was to take advantage of her highly publicised spat with Dan Bilzerian in recent months, but nothing could be further from the truth. She has been in talks with ACR for as long as a year before this deal was finally inked.

The controversy is all done and dusted now, but according to her ACR bio page she is not going to be a shrinking violet in her new role.

“Vanessa is a strong advocate for women. She’s not afraid to hold players accountable for the sort of misogyny and bullying that undermines the spirit of the game.”

As well as working alongside Chris Moneymaker she joins Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet, Ebony Kenney, and Jeff Boski. The ACR roster is full of star quality now, as the fast-growing site morphs into a platform that can challenge any other out there in the industry.

We look forward to seeing ACR’s new brand ambassador crushing in her new role both live and online. And according to her Twitter feed, fans might be able to catch a glimpse of her in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in less than a month.
