This week’s online poker traffic rankings are in, and they show that some major things have happened in online poker as of late.

Firstly, it appears the battle for the second largest online poker service has been won by 888poker, who have retained their status as the clear number 2 poker network.

The service had a seven-day player average of 2,400 players, slightly higher than the 2,300 it had just over a week ago. On the other hand, its rival, iPoker, hasn't been so fortunate as its seven day player average fell to 2000 players over the same period of time.

It previously looked like iPoker had the momentum and the growth in numbers to put 888poker out of its second place spot, but it wasn’t to be this time around. The 400 player difference isn’t a big one in the world of online poker, however, so it will be no surprise if that gap is shortened once again in the near future.

However, the biggest, and perhaps most surprising piece of news in this week’s online poker rankings is the resurgence of Full Tilt Poker. The network has firmly established itself as the fourth largest online poker network with a seven day player average of 1800 players, according to PokerScout.

That is a substantial jump from the 1350 player average it had a week and a half ago, which has resulted in Full Tilt leapfrogging over PartyPoker to claim fourth spot on the rankings. With this sort of momentum behind it, it will be little surprise if the network challenges iPoker for the third place before the end of this month.

While traffic numbers have bene going all over the place for most networks, PartyPoker’s numbers have stayed the same. The network has retained its fifth spot on the global poker traffic rankings with a seven day player average of 1500.

Not far behind it is PokerStars.it network, which boasted a seven day player average of 1450. The general PokerStars network had a decrease in traffic numbers, having gone down to an average of 18000 players. That still puts it head and shoulders over all of the other online poker networks, but is not a welcome news for many regulars playing on there.

In the US, Party Borgata continues to lead the way in New Jersey with a seven day player average of 140, while WSOP’s online poker network also kept its spot as the top network in Nevada, having boasted an average of 85 players for the week.
