Day 4 of the WPT Legends of Poker event at the Bicycle Hotel and Casino in Los Angeles saw the field whittled down from 15 players to the final table of 6.

The televised final table, due to begin this afternoon, will see the likes of Freddy Deeb and chip-leader Aaron Kweskin battle it out for a $675,942 first prize and a seat in the end-of-season WPT World Championship.

For 59-year-old Deeb it is a chance to join Carlos Mortensen, Anthony Zinno and Gus Hansen in the elite club of 3-time WPT champions.

The start of play today had seen the likes of Michael Wang and Bill Fagerbakke still in contention. Fagerbakke, a crowd favourite, is more famous for his roles in hit TV shows such as Coach and How I Met Your Mother. He eventually went out in 10th place when his Q♥Q♣ ran into Deeb’s K♠K♥.

Wang became the unfortunate final table bubble-boy when his BB all-in re-raise with J♠J♥ ran into the A♦A♥ of Mike Shariati. Wang took home $70,604 and the remaining players are guaranteed $91,523.

The $3,700 buy-in event has seen 786 entrants and with final table blinds currently at 40,000/80,000 (with a 10,000ante) the remaining chip stacks are as follows:

  • Aaron Kweskin 7,675,000
  • Mike Shariati 5,230,000
  • Freddy Deeb 4,495,000
  • Brent Roberts 3,585,000
  • Stan Jablonski 1,560,000
  • Craig Chait 1,035,000
