Every World Series is primarily about making money and winning titles. But during every Series, many players set their own personal goals and aims of different nature. We bring you couple of these.

First of all, there is Negreanu-Ivey bracelet prop bet, where Daniel has offered to any interested parties to bet against him or Ivey winning a bracelet during this summer in Vegas at even money, with minimum bet of $5,000. It remains rather unclear if both Ivey and Negreanu are in on the bet, or KidPoker simply selected Phil Ivey as a silent partner of the sort. So far, those betting against are safe, as neither of them captured a bracelet.

Then, there is the story of Jean-Robert Bellande who finally managed to find some backing for this year’s Big One for One Drop $1 million event. Although JRB says that he has under 30% of the action in the tournament, he feels good and ready to tangle with the best players in the world. Bellande believes that many players don’t give him the credit he deserves, and that’s something he can use to his advantage at the tables.

Vanessa Selbst had plans to play in all the big events, including the One Drop, but she explained that a lot would depend on how the things go. Well, the things have gone very well so far, as she managed to seize a bracelet right off the bat, winning in the $25k Mixed-Max Event, becoming only the second woman in the history to hold two WSOP bracelets.

As for Phil Galfond, he will be in Vegas for most of the Series, but he hopes for good cash game action, as that’s much more down his alley than the tournaments. But if there is not enough action, we might see him registering a bunch of events, trying to bink something.

We are pretty sure that there are a lot of bets of all sorts between different players playing this year’s WSOP, and details on some of those are bound to come out at some point, so we’ll make sure to keep our eye on what one might call the funny side of poker.
