As poker's popularity continues to grow in India, the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) has joined forces with India-based Thrill Poker in forming a new platform known as MPN India.
Thrill Poker's player traffic has officially migrated to MPN where the offering will remain ring-fenced and operate within the Indian market. A recent press release revealed that additional sites will be joining the new MPN India in the near future.
“We have added another string to our bow with a poker network dedicated to India," said Microgaming's Head of Poker, Alex Scott. “I’m very pleased that Thrill Poker has chosen Microgaming when looking to upgrade their poker product.”
Thrill Poker launched in 2014 and has been establishing a dedicated player base ever since. The site recently rolled out Team Thrill India, consisting of a a number of India's best tournament players who will promote the site, as well as the game of poker, to their fellow countrymen.
“We wanted to build an offering which was market-leading, secure, and robust in order to provide the best possible poker experience to Indian players,” said Thrill Poker director Aditya Oberoi. “That’s why we chose to partner with Microgaming, the industry’s software expert.”
MPN has been welcoming new poker skins as of late, as 138.com, Adjarabet and SBOBET have joined Thrill Poker in teaming up with Microgaming in recent months. Those additions to the network followed the departures of Ladbrokes and Unibet, who both left MPN within a three-month period in late 2013 and early 2014.
