2015 WSOP Player to Watch - Ronnie Bardah
8 years ago24 May
The 46th annual WSOP is just a few days away and among the players to watch in this year's series is Ronnie Bardah, who holds the record of consecutive cashes in the prestigious Main Event with five from 2010-14.
Bardah was tied with a half-dozen other players who at one time or another had all achieved four straight ME in-the-money finishes before landing in 475th place last year earned him $25,756 and sole possession of the record. This year, Bardah hopes to extend the record, and perhaps run a bit deeper while doing so.
Among his five consecutive ME cashes, Bardah's best finish was in 2010 when 24th place was good for $317,161, the Hendon Mob reported. He followed that up in 2011 with 453rd place for $27,103, a finish in 540th in 2012 that added $21,707 to Ro Nasty's bankroll, and 124th two years ago for a payday of $50,752.
In his career, Bardah has cashed eight times all told in WSOP events, grabbing a coveted gold bracelet in 2012 by besting a field of 302 in $2,500 six-handed Limit Hold'em to win $182,088. His other two trips to the Rio cashier cage both occurred in 2013 when he finished 90th in a $1,000 NLHE Turbo event to score $2,800 and, just a day later, landed at the final table in $5,000 Limit HE and won $94,793 for finishing 3rd.
Bardah's lifetime earnings are just over $1 million at $1,083,041, with his most recent cash coming earlier this month in Monte Carlo in an EPT Grand Final Midnight Hyperturbo event where he parlayed a 3rd place finish on a €550 buy-in into €10,500 ($11,753).
PokerTube wishes Bardah the best at this year's WSOP in his quest for six straight Main Event cashes. We will be watching!
