Documentary about Martin Jacobson, 2014 WSOP Champion, Coming Soon

The documentary about Martin Jacobson, WSOP 2014 Main Event Champion, is set to be released in a few weeks time as the champion said on his Twitter, linking to the trailer.

The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the film which follows Martin before and during the final table of the World Series of Poker 2014 Main Event.

As per Jacobson's post, the full documentary will be shown this spring. Judging by the comments following his announcement, some seem very eager to follow the champion all the way through his run to the top.

In an exclusive PokerTube interview with the champion, following his big success, Martin told Rikard that the patch he wore during his November Nine appearance was the patch for the Natural Stacks CILTEP, a company whose name is also behind this documentary, He explained that the company sells supplements which are good for focus and memory and that he was proud to wear the patch for his sponsor.

His amazing performance at WSOP 2014 was primarily result of hard work as Martin told us. He spent many hours preparing for the event and has taken it very seriously. Before the big showdown, Martin contacted all his friends and formed a strong group of people who helped him to prepare. They have played maybe 15 or 20 simulations of the actual final table game in order to be ready for nearly every situation that could come to pass.

Jacobson mentioned that he was very confident and well prepared for the Main Event final table, explaining that the majority of his opponents didn't prepare for the event the way he did. His hard work resulted in an amazing performance and he proudly won the title of World Poker Champion for the year 2014.

Martin was playing a very strong and methodical game and was able to overcome the short stack at the final table to seize the day. Final table came down to Martin and Felix Stephensen where Swede was clearly in the zone and dominated the relatively short confrontation.

Martin had a pocket Tens and faced an all-in bet from Felix who turned over A 9. Jacobson flopped a set of Tens against a pair of nines for Felix before dealer turned a King and it was all over. Felix took home $5,147,911 while Martin took home $10,000,000 and the most coveted bracelet of them all.

Jacobson’s victory has ensured him his place in the poker history. The documentary, which should reveal more details about his path to the title, is set for release in spring, coinciding with the opening tournaments of the WSOP 2015, making already most eventful period of the poker year even more exciting.
