Probably the most renowned member of the Team PokerStars SportStar, tennis legend Rafael Nadal, has become quite famous for his poker matches against the world. These are played for play money, so no real cash exchanges hands, but their goal is raising money for charity.

Yesterday was Rafa’s fourth match of this type and the ace was coming into it with an impeccable 3 – 0 in his favor. As he sat down to play yesterday, even Rafa himself was thinking that he couldn’t go undefeated forever. But, it is natural to hope that the inevitable defeat would come after just one more victory. However, it wasn’t meant to be and Nadal no longer stands undefeated.

Rafa faced the World on the PokerStars Zoom play money tables and started off rather badly, quickly going into a 19 – 11 deficit. Things started to look better after he won a big hand and, according to PokerStars blog, the tennis star’s hope rose once again as he started shouting ‘I’m back, I’m back!’.

Congratulations. You beat me," he said. "I'm going to practice more for the next time.

By the time the one hour expired, however, Nadal couldn’t master a full-scaled comeback as the result was standing still at Rafa – 22; World – 28. Team SportStar member was not upset with the score and gracefully admitted the defeat.

Next on Rafa’s poker schedule is his heads-up match against the football star Ronaldo. There is a strong, although friendly, rivalry between the two and they will settle the poker score on November 6th in London and considering the number of fans both of these sport stars have, it is bound to attract a great deal of attention!
