Everybody’s pretty much aware of all the ‘big name’ accounts and these accounts have tens of thousands Twitter followers. Instead of doing the usual routine and bringing you (once again) the list of people you are probably following, we’ve decided to take a slightly different approach.

These are the top five underfollowed and controversial Twitter accounts that you should consider adding to your Notifications tab.

Jason Mo aka klink10k

Jason Mo, or 'klink10k’, the online handle he much prefers in the virtual world over his real name, is one of those guys who like their privacy.

However, you can get the glimpses of it via his Twitter (klink10k). Although some may find him arrogant, if you don’t mind it, you could quite enjoy his updates and shenanigans. You shouldn’t really expect many nice things from someone who calls himself ‘cunty’ anyways.

Pratyush Buddiga aka @pratyushbuddiga

Onetime Spelling Bee champion, Pratyush has found a lot of success on the poker circuit as well. Devoted to tournament play, Buddiga is a down-to-Earth guy with no delusion of grandeur.

That said, following his Twitter updates will not be a disappointment. On the contrary, apart from the standard career updates the majority of players post on their Twitters these days, you will find a guy with a good sense of humor and some decent re-tweets thrown into the mix.

Unlike some other players out there, Buddiga is quite active as well, so there will hardly be a day go by without at least a couple of updates from him.

Also, by following Pratyush, you will enjoy the regular updates for the Brown Power Rankings!

Kuo Hui Chen aka @kittykuopoker

Athough Kitty Kuo’s sense of humor may be somewhat weird for some, we are sure there are many out there who will enjoy it. Defined by her very characteristic manner of expressions and full display of emotions, Kitty Kuo’s tweets are bound to keep you entertained and make you laugh.

We’ve had a pleasure of following some of her Twitter exchanges during the last year’s WSOP and we’ve enjoyed every moment of it! From what we've gathered, if you want to make her happy, buy her a cup of bubble tea!

Niall Farrell aka @Firaldo87poker

I play cards for monies cos im lazy.

This is the line that Farrell uses as his introduction on Twitter. This kind of an introduction gives you a good idea of what might follow. With more than $3 million in tournament earnings (live and online combined), Farrell has certainly done well for himself, as his self-proclaimed laziness led to a great amount of success. As for why you should follow him on Twitter:

You will discover that Farrell is highly opinionated and very outspoken guy. As always, some may find it irritating (and that’s fine), but if you don’t mind honesty and a touch of sarcasm (well, that could be an understatement), you could actually enjoy his regular updates and thoughts.

Jeff Madsen aka @JeffMadsenobv

Well, obviously… And if you check out his Twitter, you will notice he has a followership of over 18k, so how is it that he found his way to this group of ‘underfollowed’ accounts?

If you asked Madsen, he would probably explain to you that no matter how many people are following him, it is not enough: everybody should be following him for tidbits of wisdom, irony and more. (We even have a proof.)

Be forewarned, Madsen’s sense of humor is not to everybody’s liking, that much is certain. However, if you can take a joke and not get all upset about it, then a few good laughs are guaranteed.

Hope you enjoy the ride!
