Ben Lamb

Lamb is a 32-year American from Tulsa, Oklahoma who is well-known for his deep runs in the World Series of Poker Main Event, which saw him finish 3rd in 2011 and reach the final table again this year, 2017.

With over $7million in live tournament winnings and a successful high-stakes cash-game player, Lamb is already a WSOP bracelet winner – 2011 also seeing him lift the title and $814,436 in the $10K PLO event.

His introduction to professional poker came as a dealer in Tulsa, and after he had briefly flirted with college in Texas he moved to Las Vegas to play full-time, his first huge cash coming in 2009, also in the Main Event, when he finished 14th for $633,022.

His 2011 showings earned him the CardPlayer Player of the Year award, but it would be more than three years before he re-appeared on the tournament scene, a single small cash in 2014, followed by another year’s absence.

In 2015 he showed he still had the tournament expertise when he took 2nd spot and $300K against a high-class field in the Aria $25k HighRoller event, followed by his next cash – the 2017 Bellagio Mixed Game High Roller which saw him defeat Daniel Negreanu heads-up for the $281,250 first prize.

Although entering the final table in 2017’s Main Event as the shortest stack, should Lamb get on a roll he is probably the most dangerous player at the table.
