England’s own Ben Vinson has been on the poker scene for over ten years and is a well-known face on the domestic tournament circuit. The Londoner has scored more than 100 live MTT cashes for a total of over $1,300,000.

Although he’s never won a major live title, he’s come remarkably close on a number of occasions. In 2007, he finished fourth at the £3,000 NLH Grand Final at the GUKPT in London – a run which earned him $110,384.

A few years later in 2012, he came within touching distance of an EPT trophy when he got down to the final two at the €2,000 NLH event in Deauville. Unfortunately, luck was not on his side and Ben exited in second, but earned himself another six-figure payday for his efforts.

2014 saw the University of Derby graduate take part in the GUKPT Main Event amongst a star-studded line-up. While he finished just short of the trophy once again after a third-place finish, he got past the likes of Spanish crusher Adrian Mateos and fellow Englishman and outspoken WSOP presence William Kassouf. That year, the title went to a deserved winner in Charlie Carrel which marked the beginning of his live poker heater.

Vinson has supplemented his live tournament forays with volume put in at the online tables as ‘vindog03’ on PokerStars. Between 2014 and 2016, Ben ranked in the top 0.1% of tournament players in terms of earnings according to Official Poker Rankings. This three-year run kicked off with a huge win when Vinson shipped the Super Tuesday for $108,297.
