34-year old Parisienne Pollak is one of the more experienced players who made the 2017 final table of the WSOP Main Event, the Frenchman having lifetime tournament earnings of $2,967,782, which includes $532,038 from previous WSOP tournaments.

Although he has never won a bracelet, he has been to three WSOP final tables and finished 6th in the $3,250 Pot-Limit Omaha eight-max event in the Europe version of the series. His biggest cash at the World Series was $285,408 for his Main Event run in 2013 where he finished 27th.

Outside of the WSOP events, Pollak has had some very creditable results, his 5th place finish in the 2014 Barcelona EPT €10K High Roller good for €219,000 ($289,947) – one of 7 six-figure scores on his resume, the most recent coming when he scooped the €5K Turbo 6-max event at the 2015 EPT stop, again in Barcelona.

Pollak has been an ambassador for French-based gambling group Betclic since 2013, alongside some well-known names from the football world including Marcel Desailly and Zbigniew Boniek.

He also plays online on PokerStars and Full Tilt under the name Magic Deal, with over $330,000 in recorded winnings, although his WSOP 2017 run will dwarf anything he has achieved in poker so far.
