Salas is a 42-year old pro from Buenos Aires who is one of the best-known online players in his native Argentina, winning over $3million under his pseudonym ‘pampa27’.

The former attorney, who stills plies his legal trade part-time since turning pro, also has close to $1million in live tournament earnings, $177,983 of which is from 13 WSOP cashes, Salas being a regular at Vegas’ summer festival since 2009.

Currently 11th in Argentina’s all-time tournament money-winners list, Salas’ biggest cash came at the Uruguay Grand Final stop during season 4 of the Latin America Poker Tour in 2013 – 1st place in the $4700 buy-in High Roller securing him $107,800.

Healthy five-figure scores in Brazil, Panama and Spain – as well as in Vegas and his homeland –mean that Salas is one of the more successful and experienced players to make it to the final table of the WSOP Main Event in 2017, where he will be hoping to turn his 6th place in starting chips into a higher finish.

Away from the felt he has also earned a Master's degree in business law from the National University of La Plata and has three young children with his wife, Sylvania.
