Romanian tournament specialist and one of the biggest poker earners from his country, Dan Murariu has been a full-time gambler for over a decade. He enjoyed his first significant cash in 2010 when he won the €1,500 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Unibet Open in Varna for $184,182.

Dan continued his hot streak in 2011 and had a particularly good latter part of the year. In July, he finished runner-up at the IPT Main Event in San Remo for $188,459. The following month, Murariu picked up his biggest online score to date (as ‘dan82mur’ on PokerStars) when he finished second in the Sunday Million for $146,812. One month on, he reached the final table of the biggest online tournament of the year – the WCOOP $5,200 Main Event with more than $1 million set aside for the winner. Unfortunately for Dan, he departed in ninth place but the deep run still earned him $81,350.

2012 saw the Romanian win another live tournament and pick up a third six-figure score on the live circuit. This accomplishment came at the Unibet Open Main Event in St. Maarten after Murariu navigated past 237 other players to bag a $142,590 payday.

Now focusing more on his live game, Dan is a proud ambassador for Unibet – an appropriate sponsorship given all of his success at Unibet Open events!
