New York-born tournament pro Elio Fox has been playing and crushing poker for almost a decade. His biggest victory came in the 2011 €10,000 WSOPE Main Event in Cannes where he took first place for $1,870,208 and a bracelet to go with it. The final table of this event was a notoriously tough one, featuring three very talented Brits in Chris Moorman – #1 on the online tournament all-time money list – along with PokerStars pro Jake Cody and SnapShove creator Max Silver.

One of the most impressive parts of Elio's career is how quickly he rose through the ranks in both the online and live settings. Sure, a player can run extremely well and win a tournament – but to do it time and time again proves that they skill as well as luck on their side. In 2009 – just one year into his online poker career – Elio ranked in the top 0.01% of tournament winners according to Official Poker Rankings, making almost half a million dollars playing on PokerStars alone with the screenname 'smokrokflock'. 2010 saw this momentum continue and his annual MTT earnings more than double, as he made seven-figures in an achievement that placed him in the top 10 most successful online tournament players for the year.

After such a successful year in the world of online poker, Fox used his bigger bankroll to play larger live tournaments. Continuing this incredible run, he won his first cash of the year by shipping the $1,500 Deep Stack Extravaganza III at The Venetian for $87,192. Making it two for two in winning tournaments where he made the money, Elio took down the $10,000 Bellagio Cup VII Main Event for $669,692 where he got past the likes of Daniel Colman and Bryn Kenney to claim the trophy. Before the end of the year, he earned himself a WSOPE bracelet, a WPT cash, a deep run at the EPT San Remo Main Event and over $2,500,000 in live tournament earnings. Not a bad welcome to the live poker scene.

Since then, he has added a WPT title to his résumé along with cashes at all major international poker events (WSOP, WSOPE, EPT and Aussie Millions). Elio's combined live and online tournament earnings now exceed $8,000,000.
