Israeli-French Ilan Boujenah is one of the most watchable players on the live tournament circuit. His impassioned personality and exciting style of play often draws attention to him at the table – as does his accomplished résumé. With more than $1,660,000 in live tournament winnings to his name, he has won a WPT title in the €1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event in Gruissan, earning him $74,270. He also final-tabled the €10,000 WPT Grand Prix de Paris in 2010 for another five-figure score.

Moving to France and then to London more recently following changes to online poker legislation, Boujenah is a frequent face on the European tournament scene. In 2011, he made his biggest recorded score by winning the €8,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event of the PTPT in Cannes for $409,399. The following year, he finished 6th in the EPT Madrid €5,000 Main Event and ran deep later in the same year at the EPT Barcelona €5,000 Main Event. He also cashed in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event, making a total of three EPT main event cashes in one year and earning almost $200,000 in change.

His fiery persona has resulted in some entertaining media coverage throughout his career. In 2012, he was spotted headbutting a wall after 5-bet jamming all-in with JJ and getting called by Jack Salter's KK – without being able to see the 100,000 in larger denomination chips that were hidden behind Salter's smaller ones. The following year, he had an outburst against Vannessa Rousso after he flopped a straight and faced a river-lead from Rousso when the potential flush-draw completed on the river. Throwing his headphones onto the table, he sarcastically asked other PokerStars pro Liv Boeree, 'Is she capable of donkey bluffs?' before making the fold.
