West Virginia native Kenny Hicks is a tournament pro with more than a decade of experience in the game. He rose through the ranks playing online as ‘LoneHixx’, and this pseudonym has become one that is well-known amongst MTT grinders. Back in 2010, he won the prestigious Super Tuesday which helped enable Hicks to pursue some larger buy-in tournaments running on the live circuit.

Since then, Hicks has accumulated a dozen WSOP cashes and close to $1,000,000 in live earnings. Interestingly, his biggest cash came away from his home continent in Monte Carlo when he reached the final table of the 2014 EPT €10,000 NLH Main Event. Even though the American got past tough competitors in Super High Roller Bowl winner Christoph Vogelsang and fellow German Ole Schemion, Kenny’s dreams of catching a seven-figure payday were ended when he exited in seventh, settling for $260,787.

Black Friday had affected Hicks as it forced him to relocate if he wanted to play online poker again. Making the trip to Canada to pursue his passion, his commitment to the game was rewarded in 2016 when he won the biggest weekly tournament in online poker – the Sunday Million. Following a four-way chop which saw LoneHixx win $133,405, the American navigated past a 5,726-strong field to earn the title.

More recently, Kenny has been based in Mexico whilst online poker legislation in the U. S. continues to move slowly.
