Ohio’s own Keven Stammen has maintained a phenomenal work ethic that has kept him near the top of tournament poker more or less since he began playing at the age of 19. His early successes came in the online world, where he quickly put together a bankroll playing across various sites including Full Tilt (as ‘Stamdogg’), Absolute Poker (‘Stamdogg3’) and most frequently on PokerStars (as ‘Stammdogg’). Between 2007 and 2017, Keven has racked up more than $5,500,000 in MTT earnings across these three accounts. According to Official Poker Rankings, he ranked in the top 0.01% of tournament players in four of these eleven years – reaching a peak high of #5 out of 1,062,266 players in 2008. His biggest results include a runner-up finish in the Sunday Million in 2013 for $178,791 – just one of multiple six-figure scores that Stammen has earned in the online arena.

Keven has managed to balance his online tournament pursuits with live circuit appearances as well. Around five years into his career as a poker pro, the tournament aficionado received proof of all his hard work when he won his first WSOP bracelet. Coming in the 2009 $2,500 No Limit Hold’em event, Keven also broke his own personal best for most money won in a single tournament when he pocketed $506,786 for getting past a field packed with over 1,000 runners.

In 2012, Keven’s success continued when he shipped his first EPT title for winning the €2,000 No Limit Hold’em Turbo event in San Remo. Just three days later, he came within touching distance of a second EPT trophy – this time in the much larger €10,000 8-Max event. Unable to get past the aggressive play style of German Benny Spindler, Keven had to settle for runner-up and $213,043 in change.

Two years later, Stammdogg achieved what most poker players can only ever dream of – a seven-figure payday. This monumental achievement took place in the 2014 $15,000 WPT World Championship Re-Entry event, with Keven emerging victorious over a tough final table that included high-stakes regular Byron Kaverman and long-time poker crusher Anthony Gregg. Taking home $1,350,000 for the victory, this win helped boost Keven’s live tournament earnings to well over $5,000,000 in 2017.
