Roland De Wolfe

Roland de Wolfe was the first person ever to win a World Poker Tour title and European Poker Tour title.

Roland de Wolfe was the first person ever to win a World Poker Tour title and European Poker Tour title, doing so in 2005 and 2006 receptively.

He was born in the United Kingdom and comes from a gambling family. He attended Birmingham University where he studied journalism. It seemed fitting that he found a job with Inside Edge, an English poker magazine. As he followed the tournament trail and reported on them, de Wolfe began playing poker and found he had quite a knack for it.

He soon quit his journalism job when poker proved to be more lucrative. He continued following the circuit, but as a player instead of a reporter. To date his total live tournament winnings exceed $4,800,000. His 16 cashes at the WSOP account for $768,389 of those winnings.
